Following the fate of mercurial rockstar Paul on the last leg of a major world tour, Birdland is a straight-talking, critical assessment of one man’s fascination with wealth, where everything has a value, and his struggle to come to terms with returning to ‘normal life’…

REVIEW: Sarcophagus

We’ve finished looking at what happened in Chernobyl all those years ago – a huge thanks to everyone who supported this hard-working team in bringing this rare piece of theatre to the stage. You can see a review here!

Panic! Award


We are thrilled that our December 2015 production Sweeney Todd – The Musical picked up the award for Best Independent Theatre Production at the Panic! Awards on 16th April! A huge thanks to everyone that voted, and to the hard-working team behind it!

Congratulations as well to the team behind January’s The Vagina Monologues which was also nominated.


NODA Award

Chelmsford Theatre Workshop are delighted to confirm that our 2015/16 season production of Earthquakes in London picked up the Best Technical Achievement Award at the NODA awards on 3rd April.

Earthquakes in London and Wyrd Sisters were also nominated for Best Drama while The Turn of the Screw was nominated for Best Technical Achievement.
